• Macro section which deals with issues of macroeconomics and statistics
• Tax Policy section which deals with issues of taxes and non tax revenues both direct and indirect
• Policy Analysis and Research Unit (PARU)  both regional and domestic
• Planning section
• Public Enterprise Reform and Monitoring Unit which has just being introduced.

All these sections are managed by the Director.  His functions cover both technical and administrative management of the Division and he reports to the Secretary to the Treasury on all issues concerning the section.

Purpose
The Division exists to advise Government on fiscal and monetary policy,  National Account and Balance of Payments, appropriate financial programmes and  on  sectoral policy based  on economic monitoring and analysis in consultation with relevant stakeholders.
