The negotiations were concluded for all of the Articles in the Agreement. In addition, the negotiations also covered two Protocols which set out modalities of how to implement the provisions of the Articles. These Protocols are Exchange of Information and Assistance in Collection of Taxes. However, these Protocols are still being considered by both Parties.
The draft Agreement was initialled by the 2 heads of delegations. It is expected that the final Agreement and Protocols will be endorsed and signed by the respective Finance Ministers as soon as possible.
It should be reported that both parties acknowledged that the negotiations were held in a cordial manner, hence their successful conclusion.
