President of the Republic of Malawi His Excellency Dr. Lazarus McCarthy Chakwera is the current President of Malawi. He was sworn into office on June 28, 2020 at Malawi Square at Bingu International Convention Centre, Lilongwe.

The Parliament of Malawi is the supreme legislative body in Malawi it is composed of members of parliament that are elected directly in single member constituencies. Currently the parliament of Malawi is composed of 193 Members representing the 193 constituencies.
